My work is rooted in the personal and each painting is an abstract of my experiences, my history, my dreams, and my visions. I seek to create something that is neither abstract nor realistic, but rather a marriage of the two. I incorporate moments captured by my photographs with the richness of paint, creating a bridge between two worlds—the real and the reconstructed. Whether it is a painting or book art, my work becomes a multilayered surface that speaks to both the visual and tactile senses.
